Transit time was 12 days, taking into account weather conditions.

The process of loading and discharging of the boxes with glass plates was carried out with the help of portal mobile crane by direct variant "railway car - ship" and "ship - railway platform".

This cargo required special storage and transportation conditions. For glass transportation it was decided to use a vessel with boxed holds without underlays for maximum capacity and cargo safety during loading and discharging.

Also the requirements to the placement, stowage and securing of the fragile cargo on the ship were observed: the allowed number of tiers was 2 rows.
