Delivery of Handy shipment of combined grains to Turkey was completed

Home page/ News

Loading was carried out on the Kavkaz port Inner roads by using feeder vessels and a storage vessel under the “board-to-board” scheme.

The roadstead grain transshipping allows to optimize the transportation of grain cargo and significantly reduce costs by partially excluding port elevators from the logistics chain.

The economic benefit from loading a vessel under the “board-to-board” scheme is within 5$ per metric tonn compared to the tariffs for transshipment in a seaport.

A storage vessel is essentially a floating elevator: accumulation of a cargo lot allows to increase significantly the speed of grain transshipment to a chartered vessel.
It is also necessary to note the economic benefit of this method of loading in comparison with stationary elevators and the absence of geographical reference.
