Heavy calcium carbonate has a wide range of applications. It can play the role of a framework in plastic products, be used in the production of paper, in the construction industry in the production of concrete and porcelain stoneware.

Light calcium carbonate can be used as a filler in the production of rubber, plastics, paper, coatings and paints; widely used in organic synthesis, asbestos production and metallurgy; can be used as a seed agent for industrial wastewater, pharmaceutical additive, SO2 absorber in exhaust gases, additive in dairy cattle feed and non-stick agent for linoleum.
It is used as a raw material for tooth powder, toothpaste and other cosmetics.
