Mineral fertilizers are transported from the ports of Russia, the Baltic and Mediterranean Seas in following forms:
1) As dry bulk cargo on open-deck, closed and general-purpose cargo vessels. 2) As liquid bulk cargo on tankers, chemical carriers, ore-bulk-oil carriers and on converted ships with the cargo hold which is coated with anticorrosion covering specially for liquid bulk cargo. 3) Containerized, in paper bags or big bags. The main cargo flow consists of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers as well as of Sulphur, magnesite, carbamide and ammonium sulfate.
